Here is something you do not often hear from an advocacy site: please do not believe us just because we said it. The strongest communities are made of people who think for themselves, and we would genuinely rather earn your agreement than assume it.
A few healthy habits
- Separate fact from interpretation. Much of what we publish is the Association's reading of events. Notice where we say so.
- Check primary sources. Look up the documents and dates yourself and form your own view.
- Seek out disagreement. Read the mainstream legal position too. If our case only sounds right when no one argues back, that is worth knowing.
- Hold ideas lightly. You can find a thread compelling and still keep questioning it.
- Get qualified advice. For anything touching your legal, financial, or tax situation, talk to a professional — never a forum thread.
Why we say this
Because a peaceful, durable movement needs clear-eyed people, not converts. Disagreement, asked respectfully, makes us better. Bring yours to the forum.
The Association encourages critical thinking and independent verification. Nothing here is professional advice; seek qualified guidance for your own situation.
