Website Terms
The terms for using the Constitutionalist website and taking part in the community.
About these terms
These terms set out the basis on which you may use the Constitutionalist website and take part in the community. By using the site or joining as a member, you agree to these terms. They sit alongside our PMA Agreement and our Privacy Policy. If anything here is unclear, please ask us — we are happy to explain.
Who we are
Constitutionalist is a Private Members Association: a voluntary, private, peaceful community. We are not a political party, a law firm, or a government body, and nothing on this site is legal, financial, or professional advice. The material we publish reflects our own reading of history and is shared for education, discussion, and community — it is offered in good faith and for reference only.
Membership
Membership is free and voluntary. When you join, you agree to provide accurate details, to keep your sign-in secure, and to take part respectfully. You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the PMA Agreement, or that is used to harm others or the community.
Acceptable use
When you use the site or the members’ forum, you agree not to:
- post unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, or deliberately misleading content;
- incite or promote violence, or encourage anyone to break the law;
- impersonate others, or attempt to access accounts or areas that are not yours;
- disrupt, attack, or attempt to compromise the security of the site; or
- use the community to spam, advertise, or harvest other members’ information.
We want this to be a calm, constructive, lawful and non-violent space. Content that undermines that may be removed, and repeated breaches may end your membership.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting in the community, you give us permission to display and store your contribution as part of running the site. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to share it.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, add, or remove features, and we may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised terms on this page.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on the material we publish. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
