You will see 'PMA' all over this site, so it is worth explaining plainly. A Private Members Association is a voluntary, private community of people who choose to associate around a shared purpose.
Why we organise this way
Organising as a PMA lets us build a private, supportive community space — a place to learn, discuss, and coordinate that is somewhat insulated from public censorship. It is one of the lawful, private-administrative tools named in our mission.
What membership means here
- It is free and entirely voluntary, and you can leave at any time.
- To join, we collect your first and last name, post code, an optional mobile number, and a password.
- Later, you may optionally add a social handle to unlock the forum and members' areas.
What it does not mean
Membership is not a legal shield, not a way to opt out of the law, and not advice of any kind. It is simply belonging to a peaceful community. Please read the PMA Agreement before joining.
This explains how the Association is organised; it is not legal advice about PMAs generally. For your own circumstances, seek qualified guidance.
